Wheel Alignment in Mississauga — Signs You Need One and What to Expect

Wheel alignment is one of the most commonly overlooked maintenance items — and one of the most impactful for tire life, fuel economy, and handling. Here is everything Mississauga drivers need to know.

Signs Your Alignment Is Off

  • Car pulls to the left or right when driving straight on a flat road
  • Steering wheel is off-centre when driving straight
  • Uneven tire wear (one edge wearing faster than the other)
  • Handling feels vague or the car wanders on the highway

What Causes Misalignment?

Mississauga potholes are the biggest culprit. Even a single hard impact can throw your alignment out of spec. Worn suspension components, curb impacts, and general wear over time also cause gradual misalignment.

What Happens During an Alignment?

We connect your vehicle to our alignment machine which measures the current angles of all four wheels against manufacturer specifications. We then adjust the camber, toe, and caster angles back to spec using adjustment bolts and eccentric washers on the suspension.

How Long Does It Take?

A standard four-wheel alignment takes about one hour at our shop. If worn suspension components are found during the process, we will advise you before proceeding.

Alignment Pricing at Rankin Automotive
