Rankin Automotive EV service
Tesla & EV Diagnostics in Mississauga
Warning lights, charging issues, 12V battery faults, coolant-loop concerns, driveability complaints, and pre/post repair evidence for Tesla and electric vehicles.
EV diagnostic work should start with evidence
Electric vehicles can turn one warning into several symptoms: low-voltage instability, charging interruption, coolant-loop temperature swings, inverter or drive-unit warnings, battery management flags, restraint/security messages, or software-version related behaviour. Rankin Automotive starts with a documented diagnostic process before recommending parts.
Tesla warning light review
Capture customer symptoms, visible alerts, repair-order notes, and read-only log evidence where available.
12V and charging concerns
Check low-voltage stability, charging-session symptoms, service history, and conditions that can create misleading EV faults.
Pre/post repair reports
Use structured notes and comparison reports so the customer can see what changed after inspection or repair.
Powered by Rankin Tesla Scout
Rankin Tesla Scout is our internal read-only workflow for organizing Tesla and EV diagnostic sessions. It helps package repair-order details, customer authorization, technician credentials, read-only log review, pre/post comparison, and OEM handoff notes.
Scout is intentionally limited: it does not unlock Service Mode Plus, run calibrations, write firmware, perform immobilizer/security functions, authorize contactors, or send hidden commands. If a job crosses into protected Tesla work, Scout prepares the evidence package and handoff notes for verified OEM tooling or documented procedures.
Common EV concerns
- Tesla alert or warning message
- Charging stops or charges slowly
- 12V battery warnings
- Coolant or thermal-management concerns
- Driveability or reduced power
- Pre-purchase EV inspection notes
Tesla and EV diagnostic FAQ
Can Rankin Automotive diagnose Tesla problems?
Rankin can perform structured EV diagnostic intake, visible inspection, low-voltage checks, symptom review, read-only evidence capture where available, and customer-facing reporting. Protected Tesla commands and OEM-only procedures still require verified Tesla-approved tooling or documented procedures.
Is Tesla Scout an official Tesla tool?
No. Rankin Tesla Scout is a Rankin Automotive workflow and reporting layer. It is built to stay read-only and to prepare documentation, customer authorization, and OEM handoff packets without claiming Tesla affiliation or bypassing protected systems.
When should I book an EV diagnostic?
Book when you see a recurring warning message, charging issue, 12V battery alert, reduced-power complaint, unusual cooling behaviour, or if you want pre/post repair evidence documented on a repair order.
Book a Tesla or EV diagnostic
Bring the warning message, charging symptoms, recent service history, and any photos/screenshots of alerts.
