Located in Mississauga’s Lorne Park area, we are a licensed, full-service auto repair shop that handles everything from routine oil changes to major engine work — plus full performance builds for enthusiasts who want more from their vehicles.
Meet Jared Ranson — Lead Technician & Owner
Jared is a licensed automotive mechanic (310S) with over 20 years of professional experience. Before turning wrenches full-time, Jared was a computer programmer — and that analytical background sets us apart. We diagnose root causes. We trace systems. We understand how things work together. We do not throw parts at problems and hope they stick.
Jared is also a licensed professional NASCAR race car driver with years of competitive racing experience. That means we understand vehicles at the limit — suspension geometry under load, brake fade characteristics, cooling system demands, and what it takes to keep a vehicle performing at its peak. Whether you drive a daily commuter or a track-built project car, that expertise shows up in every repair.
Rankin Automotive is also family-owned and operated with Jared, his fiancée Viola, their two Rottweilers (the shop mascots), and a growing family. We treat every customer like a neighbour — because in Lorne Park, you are.
What We Do
General Repair (50% of our work)
Oil changes, brakes, tires, A/C service, cooling systems, exhaust, suspension, steering, engine diagnostics, electrical — everything a daily driver needs to stay safe and reliable.
Performance & Motorsport (50% of our work)
Custom builds, engine swaps, forced induction, chassis setup, race prep, tuning, and high-performance maintenance. If it goes fast, we work on it.
Our Labour Rate
$145/hour. Quoted upfront before any work begins. No surprises on your invoice. We inspect, explain what we found, give you the price, and only proceed when you say yes.

We carry commercial garage liability insurance and follow all Ontario Ministry of Transportation regulations for safety inspections and repairs.
