When to book a PPI
Book before you buy any used vehicle, especially if it is out of warranty, modified, imported, rebuilt, performance-oriented, or being sold privately. A clean Carfax does not guarantee a clean mechanical inspection.
Common red flags we look for
- Freshly cleared check-engine lights or incomplete readiness monitors
- Oil, coolant, transmission, brake, or power steering leaks
- Uneven tire wear that points to suspension or alignment issues
- Rust in structural or brake/fuel line areas
