Yes! Often we are asked if we do just small jobs, or do we do big jobs also.

Here at Rankin Auto we specialize in large jobs, with a background in racing where we are constantly pushing engines to the breaking point and then some. We have know exactly what it’s like to blow an engine or break internal parts, we are required to pull engines out, open them up and dive in to see what’s wrong and what happened all the time.

We’ve seen everything from plugged heater cores and radiators causing engines to over heat and heads to warp to camshafts actually snapping in half, push rods bending due to valve lash neglect and rocker arms breaking in half.

Does your engine tick? Seem louder then it used to be? It might be time for a valve adjustment not only will it get rid of that pesky ticking noise, it also helps your fuel mileage and keeps your engine running at optimal temperatures for longer life.

Timing Belt & Water pumps:
Don’t forget preventative maintenance. It’s always smart to do major maintenance at the manufacturer recommended intervals like timing belts and water pumps before they can cause catastrophic repairs.
